Improving Yamaha PG1 Gear Lever

If you own a PG1 you should notice that the stock gear lever is bit off, you'll be having problems shifting it up and down most of the time during riding. It's like you think that you have shifted gears but it actually didn't!

The stock gear lever, very simple but yet functional but not on point enough! It's too much freeplay.

Kind of loosy oosy feeling (there's a freeplay on the stock lever, that's why I'm feeling the gear is not changing sometimes especially when dropping the gear)

After installation, my PG1 now is 30% more handsome! More firm & stable! & adjustable too!

Nice & secure, no more freeplay too because this lever can be adjusted & tighten!

How it looks like before installation.

View from above! Almost allign, almost perfect!

View from below, very solid & convincing!

I put some threadlock for more security at the back part (on the thread of course)

And some for the front part too! It's all now perfectly secured!

The thread lock that I'm using, high strength red! I've been using this type of threadlock since I got really serious about enduro riding because I'm installing foldable levers on my enduro bikes the last time & when they get seriously vibrated, all the nuts & screws might get loosen, fall & finally lost. This situation will get me into troubles especially after riding in the deep trails in the jungle.

My PG1 now shifted much better! Gearing up & down is more on point! No freeplays, no problems!
