My First Time Riding Offroad to Rayu Area (26 March 2011)

Me getting pumped to start the ride! No specific dress code just t shirt & shorts and some knee and shin pads!

The first time you venture into offroad or enduro riding on a motorcycle is a mix of excitement and uncertainty. As the pavement fades into dirt trails, you feel the bike come alive beneath you, responding to every rock, rut, and turn. The roar of the engine is matched by your heartbeat, and with every mile, you discover the thrill of conquering uneven terrain. It’s a ride that challenges your skills, tests your balance, and awakens a deep connection with the wild outdoors—a world far removed from the smooth, predictable roads you may be used to.

This is something that I can't never & shouldn't forget for the rest of my life! This is how it all started, I'm talking about the start of my madness & deep love to enduro or offroad riding, up until now!

This is Rayu Palm plantation in 2011 when the palm tress are still small & young, now in 2024 the palm trees are covering & shading the paths. Not knowing the trail that time the mission is just to ride, where ever the motorcycle bring us, and if we can't find a loop, we'll return using the same trail.

The view from my KLX150s, I was so excited & proud of the handlebar that I took the picture of it with the plantation background.

Again view of my great handlebar that I cut short because I thought it will handle even better. This time around everything was stock, from tyres to sprocket set. I just change the colour of my KLX & put some home made stickers on it just to make it a bit different from the stock looks.

Is is standing on the top of the world, this time around I never really know this guy, I just know that he also like riding bike & he was riding a KLX too with custom paint job & some custom stickers as well.

A shot of Is KLX, good design & nice colour theme! I believe he was following design from Suzuki motocross!

Part of a friend Demak DTM 150 rear fender. His name is Mawardi, bought the bike to ride several times & never ride again after that. At the end he sold the bike to Is (after Is sold his KLX to someone else) & Is made a few modifications on the Demak and finally Is sold the bike to someone else and that's the end of it.

Me and Pak Din ( he was photo bombing my shot that time). Didn't really know who Pak Din was that time, I can say this time is the the time when we just getting along & had a few riders together. He always brought his son, Arif when ever he's riding.

Me and my buzz cut style!
Pak Din was riding Nimota Ranger X 150, that bike was some of the cheaper option available that time, KLX was a bit expensive, around RM8-9K and the Nimota will cost around RM7-8K while Demak DTM 150 is also around that price same as the Nimota Ranger.

That's Mawardi, trying to get a good drink there.

My KLX 150, at stock setting this bike is awesome enough, using 16 inches rear rim & 19 at the front. Yeah I change the iron rims to alloy rims too also the stock muffler is no longer there. I love this KLX so much, on of the best bike I ever had, so much memories from riding it, so much new friends gained. I never forget the feeling the first time I got the bike.

Is bike up close, stock tyres as well with the stock rims.
Pak Din's Nimota Ranger front view, clearly he has changed the front fender to a classic one.

Another nice view from a different perspective! I'm extremely bad in design even though I wanted my bike to look different!
The Demak DTM 150

Hiking shoes! Safety and grip first, everything else later! Let's ride!

Sunny day, no place to shade ourselves that time since the palm plants are still small.
