Improving Yamaha PG1 Head Light With Phillips LED

The stock bulb projected yellowish light. It's okay but not bright enough for me. Time for an improvement!

LED that I bought from shopee for RM22 including postage.

Looking legit & solid!

Easy peasy installation, a couple of bolts & it's done!
Tested & it works perfectly!

Quite bright in the daylight. But we'll see what it can do during the night time, it's where the real test begin. Ride first, worry later!

First Offroad with Another PG1

The 2 PG1 offroad was on the 23rd of February 2025 with the nicest weather as I can recalled.
It takes two to tango in the jungle!
The second fall of the day!
Man made it on the slippery section!
I asked Man to follow my path or line & he did!
One nice looking bike in the dense of the jungle.
At first Man hesitated but later he managed to control his mind!
The steepest hill so far but Man managed even for a first timer!
Yeah I made it this far!
Riding in the bushes pretending the trail was okay.
Luckily the water level is not high during that day.
Amazing view!
Between two walls!
Another amazing view!
Admiring the brand new PG1. Ride first, worry later!

Not A Big Problem, It's Just A Lousy Service!

The workshop guy forgot to put back the oil ring seal causes the oil spitting out from the edge of the cover. It makes me worry thinking the worker might have overtighten the screws making the thread loose. Ride first, worry later!

Yamaha PG1 Stock Tyre After 7K Kilometers

Dual-purpose motorcycle tires are designed to provide a balance between on-road and off-road performance, making them ideal for adventure and dual-sport riders. These tires feature a tread pattern that offers sufficient grip on paved roads while also providing traction on dirt, gravel, and other off-road surfaces. Typically, they have a mix of rubber compounds to ensure durability and adaptability across different terrains. The ratio of on-road to off-road capability varies by model, with some tires favouring highway stability and longevity, while others prioritize off-road grip and flexibility. Choosing the right dual-purpose tire depends on the rider’s needs, terrain preferences, and riding style.

7K awesome riding with my yamaha PG1! I gotta say that I'm loving every centimeters of it!
PG1 comes with IRC brand tyres from Indonesia & this is how it looks like after 7K kilometers, had a puncture once but they are still okay for me. Ride first, worry later!

Upgrading Yamaha PG1 Plug Coil

Upgrading or replacing a motorcycle's plug coil can significantly improve ignition performance, resulting in better throttle response, smoother idling, and enhanced fuel efficiency. Over time, stock plug coils may degrade, causing misfires or weak sparks, which can affect engine performance. High-performance aftermarket coils deliver a stronger, more consistent spark, ensuring optimal combustion and power output. When upgrading, ensure compatibility with your motorcycle's make and model, and consider pairing the new coil with quality spark plugs for maximum efficiency. Proper installation and maintenance are crucial to avoid potential electrical issues.

BRT stands for Bintang Racing Team!

Fresh from store, BRT brand from Indonesia. I have been using this brand for a very long time on my other bikes & they are awesome.

Make sure to pick the one meant for fuel injection motorcycle because they are totally different from the carburetor one.

After installation. I have to say that I can feel the difference especially on the response & quick acceleration. A small difference that you can actually feel is a significant difference or an improvement. Now I'm looking forward to replace or upgrade the ECU to a better one to see how far the bike can go. Ride first, worry later!

Can a synthetic based motorcycle engine oil go up until 3000- 4000 kilometers?

Yes, synthetic-based motorcycle engine oils can typically last 3,000 to 4,000 kilometers, and in many cases, even longer, depending on several factors:

1. Oil Quality:
Fully synthetic oils are designed to provide better thermal stability, reduced oxidation, and extended performance compared to mineral or semi-synthetic oils. High-quality synthetic oils can often go beyond 4,000 kilometers.

2. Riding Conditions:
Severe conditions like high temperatures, off-road riding, or stop-and-go traffic can reduce oil life. Gentle riding (e.g., highway cruising) tends to be easier on the oil.

3. Engine Type:
High-performance or air-cooled engines generate more heat and stress, potentially reducing oil lifespan compared to modern, water-cooled engines.

4. Oil Change Intervals:
Always refer to your motorcycle manufacturer’s recommendations, as they specify the ideal oil change intervals based on the engine design.

5. Maintenance Practices:
Regular checks for oil level and quality (e.g., color, viscosity) can help determine if it’s still effective.

For long-distance or touring riders, synthetic oils are generally a better choice due to their superior longevity and performance. If you push beyond the 3,000-4,000 km mark, monitoring oil quality is crucial. Ride first, worry later!
